Decarbonising the power sector will be crucial as part of worldwide efforts to limit global warming.Today, the power sector accounts for almost 40% of global energy - and industry - related carbon emissions. Whilst solar and wind power remain central to meeting net zero goals, a significant portion of future energy supplies will need to come from other low-carbon power solutions.
In this podcast, we explore some of the main alternatives, the role each could play in reducing emissions, as well as their potential short-comings. We will also look at the progress being made in developing each technology and assess whether the solution is on track to help meet net zero targets.
